Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is celebrating two years of incredible support from global agricultural machinery and precision ag leader AGCO Corporation, whose UK team has gone above and beyond to help raise vital funds and awareness for the charity’s lifesaving missions.
Since the partnership began at the start of 2024, AGCO has taken part in numerous fundraising challenges, including a staff raffle and awards ceremony during its Connections Week, complete with a BBQ and football tournament. Volunteering has also been a cornerstone of AGCO’s support as employees have volunteered at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Cosford airbase and headquarters for Festive Wrapping in 2024, helped prepare the Worcester charity shop ahead of its grand opening by painting the retail space and stacking stock. They also supported at Solihull Summerfest 2025 through bucket collections, merchandise sales and recycling can collections.
A particularly successful initiative has been the introduction of two donation stations at AGCO’s Stoneleigh offices. Introduced to the workplace in July 2024, the stations have been emptied 12 times and have generated an impressive £8,835.00 in Gifts in Kind value alone, providing vital ongoing support for the charity.
The team also recently undertook a major static cycling challenge, where staff collectively cycled the equivalent distance from Stoneleigh to AGCO’s Massey Ferguson factory in Beauvais, France - a total of 350 miles (547km). This challenge raised an impressive £1,085.75.
Across the two-year partnership, AGCO has raised a total of £13,405.89 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. This funding has helped support four air ambulance missions and four critical care car missions, ensuring patients across the Midlands receive rapid access to advanced pre-hospital emergency care.
In addition to AGCO’s support, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity delivered a CPR and Defibrillator Skills Session to the team, equipping 88 employees with essential lifesaving skills.
Wiktoria Jaworska, corporate partnership executive at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “AGCO’s support over these two years has been exceptional. From hands-on volunteering and innovative fundraising challenges to the success of its donation stations, their commitment has made a real difference. We are extremely grateful to everyone involved for helping us continue our lifesaving work.”
Gavin Doughty, Global Digital Communications Platform Manager at AGCO and member of AGCO’s local Charity Committee, said: “Supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has been incredibly rewarding for everyone at our UK site. Our colleagues have shown fantastic enthusiasm and knowing that our efforts have helped fund lifesaving missions across the Midlands makes us extremely proud, and we’re grateful to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity for the opportunity to support such a vital service.”
