The Worcester based Bishop Fleming office are on a fundraising journey! Our long-standing, valued partners at Bishop Fleming have teamed up with their sister office based in Truro in the company’s first ever collaborative fundraising initiative - Race to Base!
From each office will meet in Taunton – a central location from either office and on Friday 29 July the two teams will then race back to their respective offices – an incredible 108.5miles, with no phone or money – by any means. The team who returns to their office in the quickest time wins the challenge! Both teams will be raising vital life-saving funds to support their county’s life-saving air ambulance service – Worcester will be raising funds for us here at Midlands Air Ambulance and the Truro office will be raising vital funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
& member of Bishop Fleming’s Worcester office social committee explained why raising funds for Midlands Air Ambulance was so important to the team “Midlands Air Ambulance provide such a vital service and having been to base and had first hand conversations with some of the amazing crew and knowing how expensive a single lifesaving journey can be, I know the money we will raise from this challenge could help support one of these missions”. Each helicopter missions costs £2,950 and each critical care car mission costs £288 – with no government or national lottery funding, we really do value our partners going the extra mile (or over 100 extra miles!)
