Charity Awards Evening In Cannock Raises Lifesaving Funds

Wednesday 8th February 2017

Cambridge Weight Plan RCC West Midlands, raised an incredible £700 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, at a charity awards evening in Cannock.

The evening included a buffet meal and live entertainment from Robbie Williams tribute act, Ollie Hughes, as nine awards were presented to consultants in three categories; Flying Start for new consultants that have done really well, High Flyer for established consultants with good business growth and the Over and Above, for any consultant nominated by fellow consultants for going out of their way for others.

Following the event, four representatives from the organisation visited the charity’s airbase in Tatenhill, Burton, to meet the aircrew, have a tour of the air ambulance and present the donation.

Katie West, Staffordshire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity says: “We were pleased to invite the team from Cambridge Weight Plan RCC to the airbase so that they could see firsthand the lifesaving operation their donation will help to fund.

“Each Midlands Air Ambulance Charity mission costs on average £2,500, so we are truly grateful for this support.”

Claire Tsang, independent consultant with Cambridge Weight Plan RCC adds: “Helping people lead healthier, happier lives is one of our primary objectives as weight loss consultants, and we are very proud to be able to support a charity which helps thousands of people in our region every year.”
