A specialist law firm in Stoke-on-Trent is supporting its local lifesaving air ambulance charity by becoming the latest partner to sign up to offer a Free Will Writing Service.
Goddard Dunbar & Associates’ Stoke-on-Trent branch, based in Tunstall, has joined Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Free Will Writing Service. The local legal firm has joined a roster of 16 solicitors’ firms to provide those aged 50 and over with a Free Will to help boost legacy support for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is the only operational air ambulance service dedicated to rapidly providing emergency critical care to the people of Stoke-on-Trent. Its team of highly skilled flight doctors and critical care paramedics has responded to more than 74,000 missions since its launch in 1991. The charity proudly notes that four in ten of its missions are funded through gifts left in Wills by generous pledgers.
As part of the partnership Goddard Dunbar & Associates will promote the charity’s Free Will Writing Service. The service raises awareness of how vital legacy donations are and the significant role they play in making lifesaving missions possible.
Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: "Around 40 per cent of all our missions are funded through the legacies we receive from those generous supporters who have kindly left a gift to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in their Will. People in Stoke-on-Trent who are considering writing or updating their Will can now do this free of charge with the team at Goddard Dunbar & Associates in partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Anyone who leaves a gift to our charity will be making daily lifesaving missions possible in their local area as part of their legacy."
Paul Finn, director, solicitor and head of Private Client Department at Goddard Dunbar & Associates, added: “Goddard Dunbar is delighted to support the great work carried out by all those at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
“If we can help to raise additional funds for the lifesaving work the charity carries out so professionally, then we are very pleased to be involved.”
The free Will writing service, via Goddard Dunbar & Associates, is available to those aged 50 and over that live within the region served by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
