Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Hosts Heartfelt Celebration of Life Event

Friday 19th December 2025

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity recently welcomed supporters, crew members, and former patients to its Celebration of Life event, held on Saturday 6th December 2025 at Puckrup Hall inTewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

The moving ceremony, led by experienced celebrant, Julia Hawkes, honoured the memories of loved ones and celebrated the lives saved by the charity’s critical care teams. Guests were welcomed with live music from Emma Katherine and  invited to take part in thoughtful moments of remembrance, including lighting candles, listening to heartfelt readings and tying personalised baubles to the Christmas tree in memory of those they hold dear.

The service included readings from a member of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s aircrew, a dedicated supporter who had lost a loved one and a former patient, highlighting personal reflections on the impact of the lifesaving service. The event concluded with a post-service gathering, where attendees came together to share stories over tea, coffee and mince pies.

Rob Davies, patient liaison lead and critical care paramedic for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Our first ever Celebration of Life event in Gloucestershire was an incredibly movng experience. It provided a safe and supportive space for our community to come together, remember loved ones, and reflect on the invaluable work of our aircrew. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and honoured to play a part in their journey of remembrance.”

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity responds to some of the most serious emergencies across six Midlands counties, including Gloucestershire. Each year, the service undertakes around 4,300 missions, funded almost entirely by public and corporate donations.
