Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s shop in Ross-on-Wye has celebrated its first birthday.
Since opening its doors on Gloucester Road in December 2024, the Ross-on-Wye shop has become a much-loved feature of the town’s high street, welcoming thousands of shoppers and generous donors keen to support the vital cause.
Over the past year, the store has sold many pre-loved items, from clothing and accessories to homeware and furniture, all helping to raise vital funds for the charity’s air ambulance and critical care car missions across Herefordshire and the wider Midlands region.
Amy Petherick, retail area manager South at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said:
“The local community in Ross-on-Wye has shown incredible generosity and enthusiasm since the shop opened last year. Whether people are donating their pre-loved goods and furniture, popping in for a chat, or bagging a bargain, every visit makes a real difference. We’d love for more locals to join our friendly volunteer team and help us make our second year even more successful.
”Thanks to our loyal Ross-on-Wye shoppers and donors, we’ve been able to make more lifesaving missions possible. We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past year, and to our hardworking team of staff and volunteers who keep the shop running smoothly.”
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Ross-on-Wye store has proven particularly popular with shoppers looking for sustainable fashion and unique homeware finds. The shop team has also enjoyed welcoming visitors from across Herefordshire and beyond who want to support the lifesaving work of the charity.
