Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Worcester Shop Celebrates First Birthday

Saturday 28th February 2026

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s shop in Worcester is celebrating its first birthday, helping to make more lifesaving missions possible for the charity’s advanced pre-hospital emergency service.

Since opening its doors in the Friary Walk  Shopping Centre in February 2025, the Worcester shop has become a much-loved feature of the town’s centre, welcoming thousands of shoppers and generous donors keen to support the vital cause.

Over the past year, the store has sold pre-loved items, from clothing and accessories to homeware and books, all helping to raise vital funds for the charity’s air ambulance and critical care car missions across Worcester and the wider Midlands region.

Amy Petherick, retail area manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity , said: “The local community in Worcester has shown incredible generosity and enthusiasm since the shop opened a year ago. Whether people are donating their pre-loved goods, popping in for a chat, or bagging a bargain, every visit makes a real difference. We’d love for more locals to join our friendly volunteer team and help us make our second year even more successful.”

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Worcester store has proven particularly popular with shoppers looking for sustainable fashion and unique homeware finds. The shop team has also enjoyed welcoming visitors from across Worcester and beyond who want to support the lifesaving work of the charity.
