Phoenix Group extended its corporate partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and London’s Air Ambulance last year, taking the collaboration through to March 2020.
This is great news for both charities. So far almost £700,000 has been donated, primarily thanks to the fundraising efforts of staff based at the company’s Wythall and London offices.
The Group has supported both charities through crucial stages of our development and in that time we have added additional aircraft and invested in market-leading research and training.
The partnership has provided invaluable lifesaving funds, but it has also been beneficial to Phoenix staff who have had the opportunity to work together in a variety of ways, often coming up with innovative and unique fundraising ideas.
Hanna Sebright, chief executive for MAAC said: “The support from The Phoenix Group over the last four years has been incredible, the generous fundraising activity by their team has helped us to fund 140 lifesaving missions.
“The additional voluntary support provided by members of staff helped the charity to secure level 2 accreditation through NCVO’s Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations (PQASSO) in January 2018, demonstrating the charity’s high service levels of performance.
“Additionally, our 25th anniversary fundraising Charity Ball in 2016 was a resounding success in great part due to a significant contribution from the Phoenix Group. These are just a few examples of achievements delivered by the professional, committed and passionate team at Phoenix. For which we, at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity would like to say, thank you!”
