Staffordshire Dog Club Spend Year Raising Funds For Lifesaving Charity

Wednesday 27th November 2019

Staffordshire-based Dove Valley Working Gundog Club has spent the past year raising funds to help Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s vitally important service.

The Club has raised a total of £2,400 from raffles and donations at their Working Tests, Field Trials and associated events.

Based within a 20-mile radius of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Staffordshire airbase in Tatenhill, Dove Valley Working Gundog Club wanted to give back to a local charity that it believed was deserving of the funds. The Club has even used the service at one of its’ past summer events.

Kelly Weatherer, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s fundraising executive for Staffordshire, said: “Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is grateful for this donation and appreciates the time and dedication the Club has spent to help fund future missions, especially as a number of the incidents we attend take place in the rural communities we serve, such as Staffordshire.”

John Mead, spokesperson for Dove Valley Working Gundog Club, said: “The Club chose Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as its chosen charity as members agreed that it is deserving of donations, due to the critical care services it offers across our county of Staffordshire.”
