Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is expanding its retail offering into the Southern counties it serves, with the opening of its latest charity shop in Gloucester’s Eastgate Shopping Centre. The new store officially launched on Tuesday 7th December 2021 at 12:00pm.

The charity is looking for donations of unwanted goods, including larger items like furniture and electrical items and is also recruiting for a shop manager and a team of local volunteers.

Volunteers at the store will become part of the close-knit Midlands Air Ambulance Charity family. Instore they can expect to enjoy a fun and engaging atmosphere, as well as gain training opportunities to learn lifesaving skills in CPR and NVQ-level qualifications.

The new store’s address is:

Unit 8-10 The Forum,

Eastgate Shopping Centre,

Gloucester,

GL1 1XN

Members of the public are being encouraged to visit the store and browse items in the charity’s first store offering based within the Southern counties it serves. Of course, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity are always on the lookout for donations and even have a free furniture collection service in some areas.

Anil Gupta, head of retail for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We’d love to see people come in and explore our newest store opening in Gloucester. There will be the chance to meet members of the charity team and find out about the work undertaken during each of our lifesaving missions. The opening and launch will also provide the opportunity for local people to donate quality unwanted goods or browse for a pre-loved item. We accept donations of and sell the likes of clothing, furniture, books, CDs and DVDs, toys and bric-a-brac.”

This is the sixth Midlands Air Ambulance charity shop to join the group, with the other five located within the Northern counties that the charity serves in Shropshire (Shrewsbury and Wellington), Staffordshire (Newcastle-under-Lyme) and the West Midlands (Walsall and West Bromwich).
