  • Join our Craft Club: selling your creations is a great way you can support our lifesaving service.
  • Get involved on social media: Make sure you like us on Facebook and follow the organisation on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn and encourage family and friends to do the same. Share and like content to help spread the word about our rapid response service.
  • Join our mailing list – to receive the free Take Off magazine and sign up to our regular update emails – email info@midlandsairambulance.com to sign up.

Why volunteer with MAAC?

Volunteering is a great way to put your skills into action to make a difference in your community. It also has many benefits including:

- Flexible opportunities

- Build career prospects and gain experience and new skills

- Training including CPR / Bleed Control

- Opportunities to visit our airbases and meet the aircrew

- Meet like-minded people at our volunteer socials and meetings

We pride ourselves in looking after our volunteers by providing flexible opportunities, putting them forward for awards and hosting quarterly meetings.

We have been awarded an Investors in Volunteers accreditation, which is a nationally recognised sign of excellence.

We asked our volunteers what it was like volunteering for MAAC, and these are the words they used:

What type of volunteering would suit you?

Volunteer case study

Jon Sadler from Ledbury in Herefordshire, was airlifted by MAAC after suffering from a cardiac arrest at home in 2018.

Since then, Jon and his fiancee Laura have been fundraising and volunteering for MAAC at events.

Jon says: "I am so thankful and humbled by what happened to me – without a doubt the Midlands Air Ambulance saved my life. I love being able to volunteer and give something back."
